Fountain pens are extensions of passion. Tools to transfer one’s deepest thoughts and emotions to paper. The soul of any fountain pen is the nib, the only part of the tool to actually make contact with the writing surface, thus shaping the entire experience of using a pen. This paramountcy of the nib has always been at the core of OMAS’s design and way of thinking.
We are not the only people who think this way. For decades, those truly dedicated to the art of writing have devoted their lives to the pursuit of perfection. The perfection achieved only through a truly personal touch. After all, a tool to express oneself should be dearly personal. These people who ascend to the top of their craft are awarded the title “Nibmeister”. A title which is earned, not given.
We want to celebrate these people, and their passion for the craft. That’s why we’ve started our new Calligrafia collection. We seek to honor the creations of these Nibmeisters by offering them a home worthy of their craftsmanship.
Bologna
Making its debut as the first member of our new Calligrafia collection, The Bologna Calligrafia is a testament to OMAS’s innovative and experimental spirit. While the silhouette of the Calligrafia remains the same as it’s mainline cousins, the Calligrafia is furnished with a Regalia Writing Labs crossflex nib coupled to a custom ebonite feed and housing. This, along with the piston filling capability common to all Bologna models, ensures an unparalleled flexible writing experience.The Calligrafia is made from a strikingly understated gray resin, showing off its true complexities only when under the light, and likewise becomes immediately distinctive after being uncapped. The visibly modified nib has been handcrafted to represent its creator’s passion with every stroke.
Paragon
The Paragon Calligrafia seeks to truly live up to the name “Paragon”, a model of excellence.
Made out of a red rippled ebonite as an homage to the famous material of the past, the Calligrafia is our first Paragon ever to be made out of the vaunted substance.
